Hi, Vik: Nice blog. I'm especially interested in the CF format and hope to ride the Great Divide Mtn. Bike Route in the next few years on a RANS Dynamik.

If you had to compare comfort with the best recumbent being a "10" and a hard-seat upright a "1", where would your Citi fall in the scale? Have you done any rough surface riding?

Thanks again, and keep up the good work!

Scott I haven't ridden the Street of road yet, but I have added some Schwalbe Big Apples for passive suspension.

I don't find upright bikes uncomfortable so it's hard for me to answer your question. The RANS CF bikes are definitely comfy and easy to adapt to. For many people that is key. I'm comfy on my upright bikes because I spent a lot of time getting them setup and dialed for me. CF bikes are just much easier to get setup.

If your want to ride a CF on the GDR I'd get one ASAP and start riding it offroad to get used to it. Ride with all your gear so you'll see how it handles.

You'll have a great trip...=-)
